What the Seal means

Accountability should be a business advantage.

The TAA Seal helps responsible businesses stand out from competitors by showing customers that accountability, transparency, and fair treatment are part of how the business operates.

Prove trust before the sale

Consumers are tired of guessing who they can trust. The TAA Seal gives approved businesses a stronger way to show they are willing to be reviewed and held accountable.

Stand apart from bad actors

The goal is not just to call out bad practices. The goal is also to reward businesses that do things the right way and give consumers better choices.

Turn accountability into growth

Approved businesses may receive visibility across TAA pages, reviews, search tools, and The Accountability Map as the platform grows.

No pattern of unresolved consumer harm, deception, fraud, or unethical business practices.
Agreement to ongoing standards, review, and possible suspension or removal.
Commitment to customer accountability, honest advertising, and fair treatment.

Questions

TAA Seal FAQ

Can any business buy the TAA Seal?

No. The Seal is based on review, approval, and continued accountability standards. A payment alone does not create Seal approval.

Will approved businesses appear on the Accountability Map?

Approved or participating businesses may be eligible for recognition on The Accountability Map and other TAA discovery tools.

What happens after applying?

Your application is saved for review. TAA can contact the business, verify information, evaluate concerns, and determine whether the business qualifies.

Can Seal status be removed?

Yes. If a business stops meeting standards, fails to respond to serious concerns, or misuses the Seal, status can be suspended or removed.
